Intuit OAuth Server Maintenance on September 21st, 2016 – Some Action Required

Hello developers!

What is happening?

On September 21st, 2016 Intuit will be performing maintenance on the OAuth 1 services. This maintenance will include an upgrade in the SSL certificates. If you are using Java to connect to Intuit’s OAuth services please read below.

What do I need to do?

If you are not using the Java JDK to connect to Intuit services or are on a newer version of Java you will not be affected.

If you are using the Java JDK, there is a known JDK bug that affects services that are running on certain versions. Java 1.8_20 through 1.8_59 OR Java 1.7_71 through 1.7_84 have a bug that causes SSL renegotiation issues when cert changes on any of the dependencies. The bug is logged here on the Java website. JDK-8072385 : Only the first DNSName entry is checked for endpoint identification.

If you are using any of the affected versions of Java then you may have to restart your service to re-establish a connection with the Intuit OAuth Servers.
